What you cannot do
- Post, schedule or use the Inbox API on a Google Analytics account
- Change the property, its settings, events or audiences: access is read-only
- Read Universal Analytics properties: only GA4
- Read several properties with one account: connect each one, on its own profile
Common errors
| Error | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
googleanalytics_scope_missing | The user unticked the Analytics permission while connecting | Connect again and keep the permission ticked. |
googleanalytics_no_properties | The Google account cannot read any GA4 property | Give it access to a GA4 property, then connect again. |
400 on a report | A field is invalid, or a dimension or metric name is wrong; Google's message names it | Check names with GET /v1/analytics/googleanalytics/metadata. |
403 on a report | The Google account lost access to the property, or removed Zernio | Reconnect Google Analytics. When Google refuses to renew access, the account is also marked disconnected. |
404 on a report | The account does not exist, is not a Google Analytics account, or your key cannot reach it | List your accounts for a current id. |
429 with rate_limited | Google's quota for the property is used up | Retry after the quota refills. |
503 on GET /v1/connect/googleanalytics | Google Analytics is not configured on this Zernio environment | Contact support. |
