# Inbox

Outbound messages bill per message across every inbox channel, with 10,000 free each month and $1 per 10,000 after.

The meter started 1 October 2026. It covers the [Inbox API](/messages/send-inbox-message), the [Broadcasts API](/broadcasts/create-broadcast), sequences, workflows and the per-platform send endpoints.

## What counts

A failed send does not bill. A broadcast counts once per recipient.

A broadcast to 5,000 contacts is 5,000 messages, half the allowance in one send.

## Limits

- **Per team.** Every connected account and team member rolls up to one total on the team owner's invoice. Free teams get the same 10,000.
- **Resets monthly** at 00:00 UTC on the 1st, with no roll-over and no proration.
- **No running count.** `GET /v1/usage` and `GET /v1/usage-stats` do not report messages.
- **No card on file:** Zernio emails the team owner at 7,500 messages, and the send that would pass 10,000 fails with `403`, code `message_allowance_exceeded`.
- **Card on file:** nothing pauses and the overage meters.
- **Invoice line:** Managed Messages.
