Tracking pixels
Install an ad platform's pixel or site tag on a connected Wix site, with no code pasted into the site.
Install an ad platform's pixel or site tag on the site with POST /v1/accounts/{accountId}/tracking-tags/{tagId}/install:
accountIdis your connected ads account (Meta, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, OpenAI or Whop).tagIdis the tracking tag.- The body names this site's
storeAccountId.
The Zernio app adds one script to the site. That script loads the base code of every tag you install, so each tag records page views. The code is the same base code a WordPress install gets.
Wix changes pages without reloading. Zernio records each later page view again when Wix reports it, for Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, OpenAI and Whop. LinkedIn and X document no such call, so they count the first page of each visit.
const { data } = await zernio.trackingtags.installTrackingTagOnStore({
path: { accountId: '66b2e19d8c3f5a7e9d0b1c2d', tagId: '1234567890123456' },
body: { storeAccountId: '66b2e19d8c3f5a7e9d0b1c4f' }
});Response (200), a Meta pixel:

}One tag per platform. As on Shopify, the site holds one tag per platform. Installing another tag of the same platform replaces it and names the old one in replacedTagId. Other platforms' tags are kept. Calling the install again with the same tag changes nothing.
Status. GET with ?storeAccountId= returns whether this tag is installed, installedTagId (the tag of that platform the site fires now) and tags (every Zernio tag on the site).
Uninstall. DELETE with ?storeAccountId= removes the tag. If the site fires a different tag of that platform, nothing is removed and the call answers 409 invalid_resource_state. The Zernio script is turned off once no tag remains.
Cookie consent
The Zernio script is registered with Wix as an Advertising script. On a site that shows Wix's cookie banner, it runs only for visitors who accept advertising cookies.
Sites connected before pixel support
A site that installed the Zernio app before pixel support has not approved the permission to add site scripts. The install answers 409 reconnect_required with details.authUrl.
Send the site owner there, or to Apps > Manage Apps in their Wix dashboard, to approve the update, then retry. The account id stays the same.
Events
Wix installs record page views (see above for LinkedIn and X). Storefront events such as add to cart or purchase are a Shopify feature.
