Ad Platform Support
A single matrix showing which advertising operations the Zernio Ads API supports on each ad platform - creation, analytics, breakdowns, audiences, conversions, and more.
The Ads API is one unified surface across six ad platforms: Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and X.
Each platform's own API exposes a different set of capabilities. Zernio cannot add what a platform does not offer.
This page is the map: for any operation, which platforms actually support it.
Meta is the most complete surface — it supports every operation below. The other platforms cover the common paths (create, read, manage, analytics, audiences, conversions) with platform-specific gaps noted underneath.
Pricing: managed ads meter at $0.01 per active ad per month after the first 500 free — only running or in-review ads count. See Ads pricing.

Notes that matter
Demographic breakdowns (the breakdowns parameter on ad analytics) are the most commonly misjudged. They work per ad on Meta and TikTok only, and per campaign on Meta only.
Spend and performance metrics themselves are available everywhere. It is the age/gender/geo splits that are gated.
| Platform | Breakdown dimensions |
|---|---|
| Meta | age, gender, country, publisher_platform, device_platform, region |
| TikTok | gender, age, country_code, platform, ac, language |
Editing ads after launch splits by capability, not just platform:
- Pausing, resuming, and budget changes work on all six.
- Changing targeting or creative is Meta and TikTok only. On the other platforms you delete and recreate.
- Renaming an ad and campaign-level budget/bid edits are Meta-only.
Audiences can be created and populated on all six, but:
- Email is the universal key: only Meta also matches on phone; other platforms ignore
phone. All PII is SHA-256 hashed server-side. - TikTok and Pinterest create the audience lazily on the first member upload (no platform ID until then); TikTok needs ~48h before it is targetable.
- LinkedIn uploads replace the list (not append), and LinkedIn segments cannot be deleted via API (only in Campaign Manager).
- X (Tailored Audiences) needs ≥100 matched active users before it can be targeted.
Conversions. The send path (CAPI) covers Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Beyond sending:
- Adjust conversions (restatements) is Google only.
- Event Match Quality feedback is Meta only.
- Conversion destinations: LinkedIn has full create/read/update/delete; Google is create + list; Meta and TikTok are list-only (Meta's are its pixels, managed in Meta's own UI).
Two different "tracking tags". Do not conflate them.
- Ad URL tracking tags (read/update the
trackingUrlTemplateandfinalUrlSuffixon an ad) work on Meta, Google, and LinkedIn. - The separate tracking-tag resource (create and manage Meta pixels) is Meta-only.
